AI Statement
At this time, AD Consulting does not use artificial intelligence in any work.
I write all documents, emails and this website myself. Any flowery or superlative language is mine alone. When I need images I source them from human creators. I double check anything a Google search tells me, ignore the AI-generated results in Blackbaud's Knowledgebase (which are usually inaccurate anyway) and routinely switch off AI tools that my suite of software offers me (including Copilot and Gemini).
This does not mean I'm against using AI in my work in future; I'm just not there yet and as a solo entity have to be extra careful about what I do.
A trusted colleague is trialling using AI to assist with challenges in working with large data sets, using anonymised information in a local, ringfenced instance of Claude. I'm keen to see how she gets on with this and whether she achieves increased productivity for her clients while retaining privacy. I watch with interest efforts like these but will not be joining in yet.
